Jeff + Meghan | June 30, 2018

Meghan’s heart, I am absolutely sure of it, is made of gold. Meghan was always so excited for her big day (and still is), literally from the first time we exchanged emails to set up a time to chat on the phone. Now, phone consults are always a little daunting because I’m not able to read signals that I can when I chat with a bride in person, but unfortunately, a road trip to Alamogordo, NM, just wasn’t in my travel plans at the time. And, well, I definitely hate the sound of my own voice, so I’m always a little extra perky on the phone. Too perky? Probs.

From the first time I spoke with Meghan, I knew that we would be a great fit for each other, but at the time I didn’t realize just how great of friends we would become. Fast forward a couple months and we finally get to put people to our voices! Meghan was the first to admit that as we were waiting to do a walk-through of the barn, she was feeling a bit nervous because it had just dawned on her that despite our months of communication, we hadn’t actually met yet – but Meghan, let me tell ya, I was feeling it too! I had also never spoken to Jeff before apart from one “groomzilla” (Meghan’s words, not mine, Jeff! Haha!) DJ timeline text message, but when we all hopped out of the car and hugged, it really felt like we had been friends forever.

As we chatted throughout the walk-through and made ourselves cozy with Starbucks afterward, I could just tell that the way Jeff loved Meghan was special, and it seemed as if he appreciated my sarcastic humor, so we were set to go. Meghan and I spent many hours talking both long distance and in person, and while I have you here, I just have to say one giant “thank you” to Meghan for spending two (or was it three?) hours at the Cake Bake Shop on her birthday laughing and crying together about anything and everything. I promise we actually got a bit of work done, too!

Okay, okay. So the big day is FINALLY here! It’s a hot one, but that certainly did not diminish Meghan + Jeff’s spirits as they were so excited to finally be married! From the flowers to the cake to the sparkler send off, it was such a beautiful day. Just look at their stunning photos!

Jeff + Meghan, I wish you all the happiness in the world, and I can’t wait to see how you blossom in your marriage and family (including your pups). I promise, one day I’m going to get out to Alamogordo, and we’re having margs.

XOXO
